The Bible -- We believe the Bible to be the Inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, John 17:17, Matthew 5:18
The Godhead -- We believe in One God eternally existing in three equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who have the same nature and attributes, but who are distinct in office and activity. Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Person and Work of God the Father -- We believe God the Father is the creator of all things. In nature He is, among other things, completely Holy, all-Powerful, all-Knowing, Omnipresent, Eternal, Just, and Loving. He is totally sovereign in all that has, or shall come to pass. Acts 17:29, Romans 11: 25-29, 1 John 1:5, John 3:16, Matthew 3:17, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 1: 3-6, Matthew 6: 30-32, Psalm 139: 1-18.
The Person and Work of Christ -- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary in order that he might reveal God to, and redeem sinful man. We believe that he accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross, as a substitutionary sacrifice. We believe that our redemption and salvation is guarantee by His literal physical resurrection from the dead. John 1:1, John 14, John 18, Romans 3:24-26, Romans 4:25, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 1:3, Hebrews 3:1, Hebrews 7:23-25, 1 John 2:1-2.
The Person and the Work of the Holy Spirit -- We believe that God, the Holy Spirit, is that person of the Trinity who restrains evil in the world, and convicts people of sin. He also regenerates those who accept Christ as Savior, indwells them, seals them until the day of redemption, gives to them spiritual gifts, and empowers those yielded to Him. It is the Spirit's ministry to lead, instruct, and fill (i.e. control) believers that are yielded to Him. We believe in the post-salvation experience of the Spirit Baptism. We believe the church should operate in the fullness of the Spirit, as the first-century church did in the book of Acts. We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, is the initial evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The continued evidence of a Spirit-filled life is the production of the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit in the believer. John 16: 7-11, John 3:8, John 14: 16-17, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11, 1 Corinthians 13, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Galatians 5:22-25.
Salvation -- We believe that every man is lost in sin, apart from Christ and in need of a Savior. We believe that salvation itself is a gift of God, and is received by man only through personal faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that man is justified by grace through faith alone apart from works. Acts 13:38-39, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 3:23-24.
Marriage- We believe, based on the teachings of the scriptures in both the Old Testament and New Testaments, that marriage is an institution ordained by God from the foundation of the world, and intended as a life long union of one man and one woman. Genesis 2:24 Matthew 19:4-5 Mark 10:6-9 1st Corinthians 7:2 Leviticus 18:22
The Ordinances -- We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord's supper, which are to be observed by believers until He returns. Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
Events of the End Times -- The Blessed Hope: We believe in the personal imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air, to receive those, dead and alive who belong to Him. John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Titus 2:11-14.
The Eternal State -- We believe that the spirits of believers in Jesus Christ in this age pass immediately into His presence at death, and there remain in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming for the church. At that time the spirit and body shall be reunited, and shall be associated with Him forever in Glory. Those who receive Jesus Christ before death will enjoy eternal fellowship with God. Those who did not receive the free gift of salvation offered, through Christ prior to their death will be eternally separated from God. Luke 16:19-26, Luke 23:43, 2 Corinthians 5:8, Philipians 1:23, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9, Revelation 20:11-15.
